It is so nice to be excited about bowling again! I am bowling on two leagues this year, a ladies league and a mixed league with the hubby. Unfortunately they are back to back on Thursday and Friday nights and at the same house, but so far so good. I started out with my averages being pretty low, but have worked myself back up to 149 and 142. I got my first 200 game (202) on my ladies league and was happy about that. Hopefully it is only the first of more to come.
I had a great time bowling in the city tournament this year. I was nervous because I had to use my average from last year which was 160 and I'm only bowling a 145 average this year. But I was able to step up to the challenge, except in the singles... lol For team I bowled a 161, 157 and 182, so I was pleased that I did my part for the team. For singles I bowled terrible, 157, 135 and 139. But after a break I came back to do well in the doubles with a 162, 203, and 169. My doubles partner was my husband this year -- thanks to the new USBC combination. It was nice to finally get a 200 game and 500 series in a tournament; and in a house that I'd never bowled in before.
